Congratulations Charlotte – and particularly you, LGBT Charlotte, – as you showed the world the love and the pride you have in this city and as a representative face during the DNC.

Now while you should take a moment and enjoy the bask of glory, don’t get blue and think the excitement is over – The Queen City always has something going on and this week is no exception.

Friday, September 7th

Cathode Azure

Proving our point that there is always excitement – tonight marks the Grand Opening Party of  Cathode Azure, Charlotte’s newest LGBT establishment! Southends newest contemporary/South Beach styled bar is a 4000 square foot super lounge that sure to please everyone.

That’s not all that’s happening tonight:  There’s a host of parties throughout town including:  The A List Friday’s Red, White, & Blue Glow Party at Marigny;  The LGBT 1st Friday’s  Virgo Edition & DNC Wrap Party at Wine Up; and Meltdown Productions Fusion Friday Party at Allure.  Finally, if you looking for something a little more sophisticated, then don’t miss Speakeasy Jazz at Petra’s

Saturday, September 8th

Saturday starts off with a good cause with the 2nd Annual Community Unity Car Wash.  Drive yourself over to Sidelines and watch the hotties get all soapy and wash your car while raising money for House of Mercy and HRC!

Later that evening go to the Official Marigny DNC After Party where you can celebrate the fabulousness of  Charlotte’s international media turn in the location that hosted not one, but two official DNC parties!

And if you want something more “ruff” around the edges head to The Woodshed for their  Mr. Woodshed contest!  Contestants will be judged in four major categories which include Weenie Polo and Theme wear – so whether you wish to compete or oogle – get yerself to the Shed for what is certain to be an outrageous event!

You also don’t want to miss Seductive Saturdays at Picasso’s Sports Bar where the mature and sexy gather!

Sunday, September 9th

We encourage those looking for a welcoming house of Worship to celebrate Sunday mass to browse our listing of LGBT friendly churches where you are not only accepted but celebrated for who you are.
