Featured Weekend Agenda: July is a’Jumpin!

Maybe it’s the break in the heat wave, but this is the weekend to get OUT on the town and enjoy all that the Queen City has to offer.  In addition to it being Charlotte Black Gay Pride Weekend (our feature article lists all the official events for the weekend btw ) there is a plethora of parties and events to experience.

Friday, June 20th


First up are the official Charlotte Black Gay Pride Events:The Networking Hour/Meet N Greet at the Holiday Inn Center City; The FLO Sexy Blue Jeans TIT FOR TAT PARTY at Hartigan’s; and Destini Production’s, ‘Feel the Heat Party I’ at Picasso’s which happens to be followed by Destini Production’s”Eruption after Party I’ at Greystones


Next up on Friday is the Wassup -n-ATL Tri-Fec-Ta Weekend Invasion Party at the Nickel Bar.  The Nickel Bar just so happened to be profiled on Visit Gay Charlotte this week – we invite you to check it out!

Also happening today is the Boi-ology welcoming and reception party at The Wine Loft, The Friday Night Black Pride Sophisticated Lyfe Entertainment Kick-off at Wine-Up with the Cast of “Girls Like Us” and the Limelight Fashion Show at The Grand Central Ballroom.   

Also don’t forget Chi Psi Omega’s Black Pride and Chi Psiiiii at the same d@%$ timeat UIltra Lounge, and lastly its the EUPHORIA PRIDE KICKOFF at Marigny Dance Club.

Saturday, June 21st


First up are the official Charlotte Black Gay Pride, Women’s Workshop: Safer Sex Talk with Spoken at the LGBT Community Center. For the gentlemen there’s the Men’s Workshop: Let’s Talk About Sex: A Group Discussion for MSM and Yacht Ride with Destini Production.

 

But the official events don’t end at sun down.  Saturday night sees the FLO Black & White Dinner & Comedy Show at FireWater, Destini Productions‘ ‘Feel the Heat Party II at the Sunset Club followed by their “Eruption after Party II’ at Greystones. Last but not least is the Scorpio party with Elaine Davis!


Your Saturday doesn’t end there – Gemni Entertainment brings you their VIP Party, The Wood Shed offers Bear Encounters, Sophisticated Lyfe is holding her Third Annual Pride White Attire Affair atGrand Central; EUPHORIA HAZE is having their: PRIDE MAIN EVENT a tRE:PUBLIC, and ‘BOI-OLOGY’is having both their  Mega Party Part II and their After Party Part II

Regardless of what event or party you decide to attend, Visit Gay Charlotte urges all to head to Petra’s for the fundraiser and Meet the Artist of the Our Lives, Our Culture, Our Time Mural going up in Plaza Midwood which will change the representation face of LGBTs in Charlotte.  For more information, read our feature article.

Sunday, July 22nd

We encourage those looking for a welcoming house of Worship to celebrate Sunday mass to browse our listing of LGBT friendly churches where you are not only accepted but celebrated for who you are.


The final official Charlotte Black Gay Pride of the Weekend is Destini Productions, ‘Caribbean Cool Down Evening Party’ at Crystal on the Plaza.  This event will offer a Special Guest DJ and  Complimentary Caribbean Style Buffet.


In addition, you can still close out the weekend in style with a  number of other events including  the Boi-ology Brunch who are also holding a Finale All White Party at 5th Elementlater that day. TYhis is also the last day of Nickel Bar’s Wassup N ATL Tri fec Ta Invasion.

Finally, in closing of the weeken’s activities, we would like to point out the beining of a new week’s worth of events that would be grateful for your support.   Starting today, for the first time in history, The World’s AIDS conference will be meeting in the United States (in Washington D.C.)   1. Theres also the official 1st Annual Parkfest at Bryant Park (1701 W. Morehead St.) from 12-6. Three dj’s, and feel free to grill out!
